I enjoy many sporting activities that include tramping (hiking) in our marvellous national parks and before knee problems, tennis and squash. Currently, the latest passion is cycling. Have a look at the Otago Rail Trail.

As a mother of four children I have an interrupted work history. As my children grew older I finally resumed full-time work, with the latter years as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems and now the Department of Management, Massey University, Wellington.

I am interested in social informatics research that includes:

• The learning environment
• Women in IT
• The IT work environment
